Customs & agent coordination
We work with our own network of port agents and customs partners to clear shipments. Agent costs are covered by Riverside and reflected as a single, itemized fee on your Canadian-dollar invoice.
Riverside Foods & Logistics Inc. handles freight, customs, and compliance for food, goods, and commodities shipments moving between East Africa, China, and Canada — so the goods arrive, and the invoice makes sense.
Every shipment we handle is invoiced from Ontario in Canadian dollars, whatever region it starts in.
Our core, active line of business is freight and customs logistics. Where we support sourcing or trade introductions, we do it as an advisor — the commercial deal stays directly between buyer and seller.

On-the-ground supplier networks across East Africa and China give us visibility into pricing, seasonal availability, and emerging opportunities, which we share with buyers and sellers as advisory input.
We connect Canadian buyers with producers abroad, and producers with Canadian buyers, supporting negotiation and quality checks. Payment for goods is arranged directly between buyer and seller — Riverside is not a party to that fund transfer.
Where Riverside buys goods outright and resells them, we act as principal: we purchase, take ownership, and invoice buyers ourselves in CAD.
